9X13 pan - greased
Cream: 1 C butter
2 C sugar (reserve 1/4 C for egg whites)
Beat in: 4 egg yolks
2 squares melted unsweetened chocolate
1 tsp vanilla
Combine: 1 1/3 C flour, 1/4 tsp salt
Add dry ingredients alternately with 2/3 C milk. Stir in 1 C chopped nuts. Beat 4 egg whites, adding remaining 1/4 C sugar, while beating. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake 350 degrees, 30 min or until toothpick comes out clean.
Frosting: 3 Tbsp cocoa
1/2 C butter
2 C powdered sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla
Add milk to desired consistency.
